What exactly is wayfinding? Navigation? While navigation is the biggest problem on the internet these days. Just like in real live are directions very important to find your way, so why wouldnt you find an Information Architect for your website? I think it's mostly because it's unkown, you won't find many websites related to Information Architecture and also on big websites such as www.sitepoint.com it is still a small subject.
I expect a huge grow of Information Architects and the information related to it within one year. Especially designers will get more interested in simplicity and relevance. Navigation is everything related to finding your way on a website such as a sitemap and menu's.
