It is becoming more difficult to find the right people online. Especially if you want smart but fitting team, socially you need to search hard. As most of the job offers are placed on your website, the workflow in which these applications are filed is of great importance to catching the right person..
Try in short senses and bullet list to explain the exact qualities you are looking for and explain why your company is the choice that has to get the person away from his existing company. Since good people, usually already got job's.. convincing them to leave is hard.
You should know witch knowledge, skills, push capacity is needed for the grow of your website. And as people don't tend to complete just one task, allow them to look at related tasks such as going trough the portfolio of the company or its team.
My recommendation is to find people with relevant work experience on specific fields around the internet, if they have open source experience they should be chosen above other applications. Since open source involvement usually indicates passion. On the field of usability, there arn't a lot of usability efforts in open source projects but I would assume this would grow.

Yeah. It seems obvious to provide as much detail as you can when looking for an idividual or team to hire... Yet, I so often see adverts. like this:
"Looking for designer. Email a link your portfolio."
Stupid? Maybe. Has a lot of time to waste. Definately.
