It has been a busy week; nevertheless I couldn't find inspiration for total posts. From drafts about foundation for the future, global extending to Writing Scenarios, Simplicity and Elegance. I don't want to search for inspiration, simply because that doesn't work. I need real-life inspiration.
Motionless sitting behind a A4 sheet, got me thinking about the words I use on my blog and draw out maps of words. Of course not everything can be drawn so while opening my Words I get this question from a good Friend : "What is Information Architecture?".
My definition is : "Information Architecture is the science of organizing and presenting data to users in the most logic way. ". Is this only my definition? An Interesting quote :
Information architecture, as the name implies, is basically about taking content and a structure to present that content to an audience. Whether the content is intended for a private audience on an intranet or for the public, it is the information architect's job to ensure that information is well organized and presented in an easily accessible interface.
This term refers to the organization of a website's structure and content, the labelling and categorizing of information and the design of navigation and search systems. Information Architects are the librarians of web development. The aim is to help users find information and accomplish their task.

Is it possible to really define it? Unlikely as IA is a combination of big amount of expertises but a wide definition does help explaining it.
